New SimCity Is Under Construction, Will Arrive in 2022 - eppersonourthe46

SimCity is known as far as PC play goes, but SimCity 4, the current edition, is a little long in the tooth–IT first came down nine years ago. Yikes. Just Maxis and EA plan to resurrect the dormant franchise with a brand new version.

At a press issue at this year's GDC in San Francisco, Maxis and EA announced that it will resign a new version of SimCity for Personal computer sometime in 2022, accordant to Joystiq. Curvy roads: In SimCity 4, you commode but figure roads that come in a straight line–unless you install something like the Network Add-on Mod, which provides lots of new transportation options. Joystiq says that this is coming to the new version, thusly it looks like I might get my wishing on this one.

Wider selection of buildings: A common occurrence in SimCity 4 is that you'll often finish with several instances of the same building popping up in close proximity to each new. Again, you can total Thomas More via SimCity 4's append-on support, but I would love to attend Maxis roll up some extra structures–and maybe some additional architectural styles–in the next avatar of the game.

A "Simple Mode" for beginners: SimCity 4 is a complex halt. Unless you bring up a tare code, you can't just make; you get to worry approximately pesky details like providing your city with electricity, water, and sanitation. While this is eager for SimCity wonks like me, it's probably more than a bit intimidating to a SimCity rookie who just wants to build.

A stable Mac version, delight: I mainly use Macs at domicile. While there's a Mac version of SimCity 4, if you ain an Intel-based Mac, you have to rely on a immature beta patch to play the game (the retail box version does not keep going Intel-based Macs, only the older PowerPC-based ones). And it's laughably buggy. We don't hitherto know if EA and Maxis count Mac Bone X under the comprehensive of "PC," or if this new edition will be Windows-only to start, but here's hoping they hear the cry of Mac gamers, too.
